On Wednesday July 30th the Accies Supporters’ Association met with the recently appointed Supporters Liaison Officer to put forward questions to the board. We wanted to ask them ourselves, but they haven’t responded to our emails in two months so this was our only route.
The SLO had a “really productive meeting” with chairman Jock Brown after the Montrose game. This is the outcome of that meeting, verbatim:
Does the board recognise the ASA as the official supporters’ group?
No.
Can the board reply to the ASA’s email from Friday July 25th?
No, the board are not prepared to engage with the ASA, especially after the disgraceful scenes on Saturday.
Why are the SPFL still investigating the club?
Didn’t know they were. We have no knowledge of any such investigation.
Are you aware of any new sanctions being considered by the SPFL and/or SFA?
No.
Is it true the club might go into administration?
No.
Has all the money owed to HMRC been paid?
Yes.
Are there any other debts still to be paid?
No historical debt remains unpaid.
When will the club’s accounts be published with Companies House?
The club has obtained an extension from Companies House to enable us to obtain papers from NDP (to which access has been denied). The accounts will be lodged within any new appropriate deadline.
What was the hiring process for our new CFO?
Normal business process to engage an outstanding candidate.
Will the board attend the meeting with the SFA and SPFL arranged by the committee?
Know nothing about any such meeting but will not attend any meeting arranged by “the committee” whatever that is.
